Reply with quote | #1 | Heh... I just talked to my Dad, and he called me to say he was playing with my old Super Nintendo!!
I rofl'ed hardcore. Not only did I not know he still had that thing, but I'm actually shocked to know it still works! Old console is ooooold! XD
Man, I think the oldest console in my place right now is my PlayStation... it still works, but if I have an urge to play any of the games I just put them in my PS2.
I wonder if Dad has my Sega Genesis... I've been wanting to play some of my old Sonic games for a while now!

Reply with quote | #3 | I still have my original GameBoy. As in the black and white one Screen's mostly dead but it still actually will boot up! You just can't see half the screen.
My friend still has and still plays his original NES. I still play original NES games but I went and got a GenerationNEX console (which can also play Japanese Famicom games, if I ever find one I want to play)
And another friend still has and plays N64..or was it SuperNES? Nintendo builds their consoles to last and last! Sony...not so much *grumbles about crappy PS2*
Now I'm in the mood to play Space Shuttle Project....

Reply with quote | #8 | You want old?
Wayyy back before the Nintendo and Sony, there was ColecoVision and Atari; my youngest uncle, who was in elementary school back then, had a ColecoVision and Atari, but I don't remember what games he had.
There was also a portable game (well, kinda--I think it still plugged in, but you didn't have to hook it up to a TV). I forget what they were called, but I had two when I was really little--Donkey Kong (as in "angry gorilla throwing barrels at Jumpman before he was called 'Mario'" Donkey Kong) and Frogger. It was a box, shaped like a miniature version of an Arcade game (with the "cave" and the screen you looked down on), and with the technology back then, each box could only hold one game. I have to find the picture of me with my Frogger one--I think my mom or dad may have it.
I can't for the life of me remember what those boxes were called!

Reply with quote | #9 | I still have the games from my NES and SNES laying around somewhere. I wish the systems worked though, I think we threw them out, or packed them away somewhere.
Needless to say I was soooo happy when I learned they made a GBA version of Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Final Fantasy IV (II on SNES with more stuff and a better translation), my two favorite SNES games. I still play those constantly.
I'm glad my PS2 can play PS games. Though most of those are so scratched up they don't work anymore. *mourns the loss of FF7 and 8* __________________ "One might say we're systematically taking over the country, except it seems to be a horrific failure." Gintoki (Gintama) |

Reply with quote | #11 | SNES is the best system ever. I don't care how many new amazing systems they make, therre are just too many classics on SNES. I still play Donkey Kong Country 1/2/3, Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars, and others.

Reply with quote | #14 | I still play my Sega Saturn from time to time. I would hook up my Genesis, but I mostly had Sonic games on it which have already been ported over to newer systems. xD __________________ Saturday/Photoshoot: Rena Kunisaki - .hack//Legend of the Twilight
